For Lauren Turner, real estate is more than a career – it’s an adventure. Her journey into the field began in 2019 while searching for her first home. “I loved the process of touring houses with my agent and seeing all the unique properties,” she recalls. “Every home felt like its own little adventure.” That experience sparked something deeper, and by 2020, Lauren had turned that passion into a full-time career as a real estate broker.
Drawn to the ever-changing nature of the industry, Lauren loves that no two days are ever the same. “I could never see myself in a traditional 9-to-5,” she says. “Working with different people and exploring properties together is endlessly rewarding.”
When it comes to favorite neighborhoods, Lauren is especially fond of Steamboat Island. “I love the rural feel of the farmland while still being so close to the Puget Sound,” she says. “My dream property would be horse property on the water—and Steamboat Island would be the perfect place for that.” For something closer to town, she adores the character and charm of Olympia’s Carlyon neighborhood, particularly the early 1900s homes. “They’re full of personality and craftsmanship that you just don’t see anymore.”
Outside of real estate, Lauren and her husband stay busy on their 13-acre property, which they purchased in 2024. “There’s always a new project—remodeling, fencing, or expanding our little animal herd,” she laughs. That herd currently includes 32 chickens, two dogs, four cats, and 2.5 horses (the “.5” being a mini horse, of course). When she’s not working on the farm, you’ll find her horseback riding, gardening, hiking, or paddleboarding—anything that keeps her outdoors and active. The couple also shares a love for travel and exploring new places together.
Lauren’s favorite local hidden gem is McLane Creek Nature Trail, a serene spot with winding paths, wetlands, and abundant birdlife. “It’s special to me because my husband and I walked there weekly when we were dating during COVID,” she says. “Now, we love taking our dogs there.”
What Lauren enjoys most about real estate is helping her clients reach one of life’s biggest milestones: homeownership. “I love working with first-time buyers and watching their dream come to life,” she says. “It’s such a meaningful accomplishment, and it’s incredibly rewarding to be part of that journey.” Whether she’s helping clients buy, sell, or transition between homes, Lauren approaches every transaction with care, creativity, and commitment.
Her dedication to helping others extends beyond real estate. She’s volunteered with the International Refugee Committee in SeaTac, welcoming new arrivals and teaching practical life skills, and has participated in Habitat for Humanity builds. She’s also excited to get involved with Olympic Sotheby’s volunteer initiatives supporting local organizations.
Lauren believes that real estate is about much more than the transaction—it’s about relationships built on trust and communication. “Buying or selling a home is such a personal decision,” she says. “My goal is to be a calm, confident presence for my clients, making sure no detail is missed and no question goes unanswered. I want them to feel informed, supported, and never pressured.”
With her thoughtful approach, strong market knowledge, and genuine care for her clients’ goals, Lauren strives to create an experience that’s both seamless and memorable. “At the end of the day, I hope my clients feel so confident in the service they received that they’ll return for future real estate needs and refer their friends,” she says. “That’s the greatest compliment of all.”
